The European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organisation (EPPO) is an international organisation responsible for cooperation and coordinated action in the field of plant protection in the European and Mediterranean region. Under the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC, Article IX), EPPO is the regional plant protection organisation for the European and Mediterranean region. The EPPO was established in 1951 and currently has 52 Member States.
