The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development is responsible for the implementation of these regulations in Latvian legislation and their integration into Latvian environmental policy. The State Plant Protection Service controls the spread and control of Sosnowsky's hogweed (Heracleum sosnowskyi).
