International agreements
The European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organisation (EPPO) standards "Production of healthy plants for planting (PM4)" describe the process by which officially certified propagating material is obtained. Such certification schemes exist for several species of fruit trees, berries, ornamental plants and potatoes.
