The Plant Protection Law stipulates that the State Plant Protection Service:
- monitors and controls the requirements of the regulatory acts of the European Union and the decisions of the Council of Europe and the European Commission in the field of plant protection;
- supervises the labelling, certification and circulation of wood packaging material;
- monitors and controls the movement of plants, plant products and objects in contact with plants, plant products and objects subject to phytosanitary control;
- supervises the inspection and use of plant protection product usage equipment.
The Law on the Circulation of Fertilisers stipulates that the State Plant Protection Service shall supervise and control the circulation of fertilisers and substrates.
The Seed and Variety Circulation Law provides that the State Plant Protection Service shall supervise and control the circulation of seeds.
