In order to be registered in the Register of Seed Producers and Seed Traders of the State Information System for Crop Monitoring, a person must submit an application to the State Plant Protection Service. On receipt of the application, an inspector of the regional office will carry out an assessment of the eligibility of the holding. If the opinion is positive, the person is entered in the register.
The State Plant Protection Service monitors and controls the circulation of seeds.
The State Plant Protection Service acts as a reference laboratory for seed quality and provides other laboratory services.
The State Plant Protection Service shall organise or carry out post-control inspections for certified seed, standard seed, seed of a conservation variety and seed of a vegetable variety to be grown under specified conditions.
